Background

This Agreement is made in consideration of the Parties’ mutual desire to live together as samboers (cohabitants) and to establish a legal framework governing their rights and responsibilities.

1. Intention

The Parties hereby acknowledge and agree to live together as samboers and establish their rights and obligations under this Agreement.

2. Definitions

2.1 Samboers

Parties to this Agreement who live together in a domestic partnership.

2.2 Joint Residence

The property or place where the Parties reside together.

2.3 Separate Property

Assets or properties owned individually by each Party before entering into this Agreement or acquired separately during the course of cohabitation.

2.4 Communal Property

Assets or properties acquired jointly by the Parties during the course of cohabitation.

3. Financial Matters

3.1 Division of Expenses: The Parties agree to divide the expenses related to the Joint Residence, including rent/mortgage, utilities, groceries, and other household costs, in the following manner: [Specify the agreed-upon division of expenses].

3.2 Separate Property: Each Party shall maintain ownership and exclusive rights to their respective Separate Property. It shall not be considered as part of the Communal Property and remains the sole responsibility of the respective Party.
